You can give credit to the producer of your beats – 44faced – in any of the following ways:
- Produced by 44faced
- Beat by 44faced
- Original Music by 44faced
Yes. You can alter the beat however you wish after you buy it. For example, you could add or remove instrumentation, change volume levels, speed it up or slow it down, etc. However, the production credits still need to be attributed to 44faced.
Nothing. Both people can use the beat according to the terms of the non-exclusive license they received. Each person can copyright the song with their own lyrics that they create with the beat. Likewise, each person can sell, distribute, perform and broadcast the song they make with the 44faced beat, keeping all the royalties.
At the moment, exclusive licenses for 44faced instrumental beats are unavailable through the site. Please contact 44faced at – firstname.lastname@example.org – to inquire about gaining an exclusive license for a beat.
What happens if I buy a beat under a non-exclusive license, and later on, someone else buys exclusive rights to the same beat?
Nothing. The rights you buy to the beat are your rights, according to the license agreement you gained (i.e. one of these: MP3 License Agreement | WAV License Agreement | WAV Trackouts License Agreement). You can continue using your beat according to the terms of that license. Moreover, if you want to renew the same license terms, you have the rights to do so.
No, the beat will remain on the site. Buying a beat with one of the non-exclusive licenses (i.e. MP3 License Agreement | WAV License Agreement | WAV Trackouts License Agreement) means that you buy the rights to use the beat for your song or other production. But 44faced remains the owner of the original beat, and can continue to sell the beat.
If you don’t want anyone else to use the same beat you buy, then you need to gain an exclusive license for the beat. This is why exclusive licenses for beats are typically much more expensive than non-exclusive licenses. At the moment, exclusive licenses for 44faced instrumental beats are unavailable through the site. Please contact 44faced at – email@example.com – to inquire about gaining an exclusive license for a beat.
WAV trackouts are ZIP files containing studio quality (24 bit, 48kHz) versions of each individual WAV track used to create the beat. For example, a typical WAV trackout file would contain one track for the kick drum, one track for the snare drum, one track for the hi-hats, one track for the bass, one track for one of the synths, another track for another one of the synths, etc. WAV trackouts are the most professional and high quality versions of the beats. They allow for maximal control to mix and make changes to the beat, and are for artists and/or producers interested in doing the most serious work with the beat.
Yes. You get to keep 100% of the revenue you earn from the songs or other productions you make with the beats, according to the terms in the license agreements (download sample PDFs of the license agreements here: MP3 License Agreement | WAV License Agreement | WAV Trackouts License Agreement).
You won’t have to wait at all. After your payment, you will be instantly transferred to a page with your relevant download link/s.
However, if you are buying WAV trackouts, then allow up to 7 days maximum for these beats to be delivered to you via a file download service. (Don’t worry, we usually send them out on the same day or the next day. 7 days is just in case something out of the ordinary is happening.)
