Danny Merriman – The World Got Crazy

By 44faced on Jun 20, 2020 in Music - 0 Comments

The world got crazy in lockdown so Danny Merriman wrote the song, “The World Got Crazy,” to reflect how he felt, the mood of change, uneasiness and reflection in uncertain times. It has a reggae vibe to it, giving it an uplifting foot tapping feel, and sounding like Bob Marley and UB40.

Danny Merriman was born in Nottingham, UK on Jan 18, 1967, and started singing and playing bass in 1986, inspired by Bob Marley, Sting, Jack Bruce, Mark King, Larry Graham, Louis Johnson and Paul McCartney.

Danny is a massive sci-fi fan and always tries to inject his music with a hint of space and final frontiers. Whether it be a futuristic reggae synth based fusion vibe, or super funky slap beats.

By 44faced on Jun 17, 2020 in Music - 0 Comments

“Pullin’ Up (2 the Westside)” by Christo is the anthem for rolling around on a perfect day in Cali. Its slow beat and wavy instrumentals creates an unforgettable vibe as we approach summertime.

Originally from the Bay Area, Christo drew inspiration from the flavorful culture and prominent sound when creating his own work as an independent artist in the industry. Using his innovative sound and inventive persona, Christo continues to make immense strides in music proving himself to be the next big artist from the Bay Area.

As a child, Christo has always been deeply interested in music, borrowing over 100 different CD’s from his best friend in the 5th Grade as his love for Hip-Hop began to emerge. Dedicated to his art, Christo began releasing music in high school at the young age of 17 and has been working nonstop ever since. After collaborating with Nef the Pharaoh to create the West Coast revival track, “We Ballin,” Christo caught the eye of HotNewHipHop, where they featured him in their Heatseekers catalogue. In addition to Nef the Pharaoh, Christo has gone to collaborate with various artists in the bay area and across the country such as Young Gully, Dave Steezy, Phil Ade, Dax, Jag, and many more.
