Simonne Draper – Canzonetta dell’Acqua (Arranged for Violin and Harp)

“Canzonetta dell’Acqua” by Simonne Draper, arranged for violin and harp, is an expressive contemporary classical work that brings together lyrical writing and the distinctive colors of two elegant acoustic instruments. Originally composed for guitar duo and released on Draper’s album Portraits in Guitar, the piece has since been arranged for several instrumental combinations. The violin and harp interpretation by Duo Beautiful Strings was awarded 2nd Place in the Composition category at the World Classical Music Awards 2025 and appears on the 2026 album MODERN – Contemporary Czech Music for Violin and Harp, released through Czech National Radio.

Simonne Draper is an acoustic-classical composer and guitarist and a member of the Czech Composers Society. Her music has received international recognition and has been performed at concerts and festivals worldwide. Her debut album Portraits in Guitar was released in 2019 by MSR Classics, now part of PARMA Recordings, while her second album, Silence of Eclipse, was released in 2024 by Bongo Boy Records. Draper’s work spans classical composition, guitar performance, and collaborations across contemporary and electronic styles, with her music receiving international radio airplay and appearing in audiovisual and artistic projects.
