Xonik-G – DIGI GIRL

“Digi Girl” by Xonik-G is a quiet, minimalist song exploring loneliness, social isolation, and the human impact of losing an online world that has become an important source of social connection. Written against the backdrop of Australia’s social media restrictions for young people, the song looks beyond the policy debate through the eyes of a teenager, reflecting on friendship, identity, belonging, and what happens when a digital connection that once helped someone feel less alone suddenly disappears.

Xonik-G is the musical project of Australian independent songwriter Rob Allan, whose work spans contemporary rock, pop, inspirational, and Christian music. Driven by the belief that songs come from truth, Allan writes about faith, family, relationships, love, loss, identity, and everyday life, combining memorable melodies and accessible lyrics with an experimental creative process that incorporates AI music technology as another instrument for exploring arrangements, instrumentation, voices, harmonies, and production.
