Now living and working in Virginia, TRUTHR eventually hooked up with two like-minded Hip-hop artists from Virginia Beach; Ty Pretty and Intalek. The trio knew they wanted to collaborate and got to work on the track, “Long Time”. Three years in the making, they released the song and video to all major streaming services on February 12, 2021.

“Long Time” is an emotional retrospective track. Each artist takes his turn looking back honestly on his life and career so far and asks, “is this it?” TRUTHR delivers a smooth and soulful R&B performance during the choruses as he ruminates on the path he’s taken and wonders which direction is his next step.

Intalek takes the first verse and attacks it with an impressive chopping rhyming technique. Ty Pretty is up in the next verse with a smooth, laid back old-school flow. The juxtaposition of the three different vocalists styles keeps the sound fresh throughout. The song is built on chill guitar groove over Trap beat, ambient synths and ancillary percusion paint the edges of the mix.

Wild, untamed, and brimming with raw rap energy. Marina Massanova’s latest smash track, “Normality,” takes us on an adrenaline-drenched thrill ride through a furious flurry of genres. From the hard-hitting hip-hop bars to the drastic flip into hardbass, here’s one song that’s bold, daring, and impossible to ignore. The timeless track pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with music. With Massanova’s energy-fueled and at times wacky style, it’s hard not to like it.

The Ukrainian singer-songwriter even directed the video. Dripped in cool, calm charisma, it shows her with her two friends from first grade getting into all kinds of mischief. From visuals of intercourse with an imaginary guy to the slapping of buttocks, it really grabs your attention and stops you dead in your tracks. Her style is impossible to pigeonhole as it incorporates so many different genres. Though it lands somewhere along the spectrum of punk rap. This ultimately leads to a sound that’s simply oozing with originality and could not be imitated by anyone else.

Everything sounds like a classic mixtape with some of the hottest new sounds and concepts you won’t hear anywhere else in the industry. There’s a lot about the hood, promiscuous women, indulgence, ego, spirituality and the persistence it takes to live with a mental disorder.
